Villa Banyan, Umeanyar, is a fully serviced, luxury vacation rental destination on the northern coast of Bali. The Villa underwent complete renovation in June - July 2022. After 2.5 years of Pandemic we have left the hibernation mode and are looking forward to welcoming you again !
The unique property is set 30 meters above sea level on a small cliff directly in front of Umeanyar Beach. The huge villa (700 sq-metre living space) has 4 master and main bedrooms and an additional family bedroom. It is fully equipped with a large kitchen including all modern appliances, a spacious living and media room, a huge infinity pool, and various lounge areas, balconies and terraces to benefit from the vast and breath-taking scenery of this unique spot. The villa is surrounded by 3400sq. metres of terraced tropical gardens on three levels. There are two Bale Bengongs (Gazebos) built directly into the cliff with stunning views over the blue ocean and the vivid green rice paddies stretching right up to the edge of the black volcanic sand beach of the Bali Sea. An old majestic fig tree gives shade and lends the villa its name. The centre of the L-shaped house with its large infinity pool opens to the green zone of the village. Being without direct neighbours, the property is an ideal location for ultimate privacy and relaxation experience. Yet, it is still very close to a variety of local & international restaurants and the smaller resorts of the area.
The Villa
The generously spaced villa offers 700sq. metres of living space covered with traditional Alang-Alang roof. It is designed in a unique combination of modern and traditional Balinese architectural elements. The property offers the best of Balinese hospitality with European standards through luxury, refinement, modernity, design, space and comfort. In 5 air-conditioned bedrooms we can accommodate up to 10 guests. There are 4 master and main bedrooms all with ocean views and en-suite bathrooms featuring modern appliances. An additional bedroom is dedicated to younger guests and can be connected to either of two bedrooms on the ground floor.
The en-suite bathrooms have modern European appliances and are constructed from natural materials: teak wood cabinets, Terrazzo tops and nature stone flooring. The master baths have a private garden with palm trees and decorative and soothing water wall statues. Other amenities include bathrobes, slippers, hair dryers in each bathroom and our banyan villa signature series 'Jardin d´Umeanyar' of organic soap, shower gel, shampoo and hair conditioner etc.
The modern living / media room has a state-of-the-art 50' LCD TV with more than 130 International channels (Satelite), a DVD player with surround sound system and a media player with more than 800 international movies. Of course we have a wireless “Hot Spot” with unlimited and free WIFI access. For the little ones we offer a Play Station 3 with fun games to keep them busy, and give you more time to relax.
The huge 18x6 m infinity pool is embedded in a 100 sq-metre natural stone deck. The pool is family-friendly with wide walk-in steps that are excellent for those needing a gentle entry, or for the little ones to play on. There are 3 depth levels so that you can take real morning laps if you wish. At the corners of the infinity side, which is close to the edge of the cliff, there is underwater seating, so you can enjoy the beautiful view and/ or your cocktail without having to tread water at the same time.
Services
To make sure the villa is running smoothly there are 7 dedicated English-speaking staff members. 1 helpdesk, 2 cook /housekeeper, 2 gardeners, 1 security guard and 1 help / desk.
Airport Pick Up & Return Transportation can be arranged for a fee. During your stay the villas own luxury van with driver for up to 8 guests can be rented for shopping and tours in the area.
Groceries for your meals can be bought by yourself or organised through our shopping service. Our cook can prepare your breakfast and lunch or breakfast and dinner, which you may choose in advance from a sample menu. For this you pay for the ingredients, which are organised by the staff against receipt and for a tiny transportation fee. Of course, if you wish, you may also use our car with driver to do the grocery shopping yourself (most guests don´t). There is a well-stocked supermarket just 5 minutes drive from the villa in the centre of Seririt.

Summary: A group of seven adults spent a week at Villa Banyan. The property was fantastic for a big group. Lots of different spaces to relax as a group, couple, or individually. The staff were fabulous and made my birthday week exceptional. Dea invited us to her village temple to celebrate the full moon ceremony where we were warmly welcomed, the trip to Menjangan Island to snorkel was a highlight. Could not recommend more highly.

Summary: Words honestly cannot describe how absolutely wonderful this villa is. The pictures in the listing look fantastic and yet they don’t do it justice. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful. We had thought we might do a little bit more in the surrounding area, but the villa is just so comfortable and so beautiful that we only left it once during our stay. And if you know spa treatments, you do not want to miss having the ladies from the spa come and provide all sorts of lovely, massages, facials, hair treatments, scrubs, etc. Every detail was attended. Our precious cook made delicious meals each day. She chatted with us to determine what we might like to eat and then went to the market each day. She always coordinated with us to make sure the timing of each meal fit with our preference and schedule. Our precious housekeeper, equally as helpful, made sure our rooms were well prepared day and night. And though not often seen, the gardener kept the grounds looking beautiful every day, and the security guard helped us feel very safe day and night. Though, the area seemed very safe with or without the security guard. And last, but not least, our driver was always accommodating, and got us to and from the airport as well as to Lovina to watch the dolphins. My biggest regret is that there are no more stars for me to give this villa. I believe it may be the best VRBO I have ever reserved in all my years of using them. Thank you for such a fabulous stay!

Summary: The property was beautiful and well kept, the rooms were spacious and each had a view of the lovely pool area. The bathrooms we each unique and gorgeous. The Sunrise and the Ocean views from the hillside were quite relaxing. I'm running out of superlatives! I can't say enough good things about the house staff and driver, each of them went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable and having a good time. Between the wonderful food, the Balinese language lessons, and the sightseeing suggestions that was guaranteed. Special thanks to Hery for driving all over the island taking us places while we all slept and snored. I would add that this isn't a "party" house, I'ts about 3 hours from the airport over the mountains, It's a great location to relax. If you plan to hang out in Ubud and party in clubs all night this might not be good location for you since it's 2 hours from Ubud over some "please dont let me get carsick" roads. I would 100% return here, my family and I had a wonderful time.

Summary: We arrived at Villa Banyan for the last few days of our trip to Bali and it was an absolutely blissful way of finishing off our trip. Firstly the staff are fantastic. Mrs Ariani cooked for us wonderfully and nothing was ever too much trouble. Heri was always on hand to drive us on both short and longer trips, and the car is a significant step up in comfort compared to a standard Bali taxi. The rest of the team keep everything spotlessly clean both inside out and are friendly and always willing to help out. Finally when we had a minor medical emergency, Pram the manager was immediately on hand even though it was late at night. Then there's the house itself. Wow. Beautifully finished and maybe even more spacious feeling than even the photos show. Real luxury. Finally we found the location perfect. It is incredibly quiet and peaceful and the views are just good for the soul. The beach is a few minutes walk and there are a couple of nice restaurants there, whilst Lovina is only 20-25 minutes away. A new life goal is to return some day! Thank you to all for our wonderful stay.

Summary: The owner, Mr Thomas, was very helpful, responded to questions quickly, and even offered recommendations of local attractions worth visiting. The villa staff were exceptional. The cook, Ariani, is a treasure. She prepared for us a range of local dishes, while making adjustments for several dietary needs. She would even answer our questions about North Bali and the local culture. Heri was a fabulous driver. He always looked after us and was always available when we needed a long or short trip - and offered some suggestions on daytrips. And housekeeper Komang was always courteous and kept the villa spotless. They also helped recommend local restaurants and made bookings and organised transport. The villa itself is as beautiful as the photos. One thing that the pictures don't do justice to is the view. Surrounded by lush greenery, with an elevated view of the ocean, and a backdrop of mountains - paradise indeed. It's a long drive to get up to the North coast from the airport, but it's worth it. It is the ideal location if you want to be away from the built-up touristy areas down south. But keep in mind that means a bit more isolation and the need to use the car to get anywhere. Our group would definitely recommend Villa Banyan.
